Vivek Kundra Conforming of Cloud Computing Can Possibly Better Data Sharing between Multiple Governing Sectors
As the first Federal CIO, Vivek Kundra supervises government tech sector investments. He uses his diverse Information Technology know how in government, the private sector, and academia to ensure the government spends reasonably when it comes to tech initiatives. With a Masters Degree in Management Information Systems, Vivek Kundra has a tremendous understanding of IT and its complexities.
Vivek Kundra is responsible for ensuring that the public has user-friendly access to government information. He is also responsible for rethinking the way the public interacts with the government in this economy and age of information. His model for implementing all of this is with the utilization of off-the-shelf applications, cloud computing, open-source technology, and concepts such as Facebook and the like, that motivate United States citizens to self-organize on the Internet.
In his current title as the nations first Chief Information Officer, Vivek Kundra is bringing the latest Web technologies to the Federal government stage. He is working on altering the way the United States government uses technology. His goal is the more streamlined employment of technology through getting different authorities to share information and computers. Therefore, he’s boosting the use of social networking sites to develop an open conversation between the government and citizens.
It seems as though to Vivek Kundra, the time is now for enforcing innovative Information Technology initiatives. His hope is to broadcast more information to the public and to facilitate efficient communication between government agencies. He is directing a Federal government technology strategy that is employing cloud computing, open source, and other ways to help the Federal government achieve its challenging Web 2.0 goals.
