Moving to a New Office
Our business is expanding and we’re excited about moving to a bigger office so that we can continue to grow. At the moment, we are based in the Southwark area of London, but will be moving in about a month’s time just north of the river near Bank station. As we are a relatively new and small company, this was our first experience dealing with a fit-out in the new space. It’s going to be really stunning, with our logo placed throughout the office, a reception area, and two separate meeting spaces. But there are so many things to remember in an office move. Once our lease was signed, we had to find the builders as well as someone to provide us with a commercial epc. We met with contractors, plumbers, interior designers, and cabling experts to help us along the way. For the day of the move, we need to hire a van and some crates, as well as factor in the congestion charge and parking. Luckily, with our small number of staff, everyone is responsible for their own stuff, so we’ll have plenty of help with the actual move. And since we are getting some new desks and other furniture, we won’t have to worry about lugging around heavy items.
