All about My Tour of Australia

One of the nicest vacations I ever did was a tour of the Australian coast between Sydney and Melbourne. Not only was the scenery remarkable, the Australian poeple were friendly and helpful. There were also a heap of things to do.

There are many car rental sydney and car hire Melbourne options and that’s unquestionably the handiest way to experience the coast. Car hire agencies are more than willing to help you plan your tour and pin point the main attractions along the way. Car agencies are perpetually running promotions and deals. I managed to get a great one way special to Melbourne at a car hire in Sydney.

I embarked on my journey by heading south from Sydney through the Royal National Park. I was blown away by the Grand Pacific Drive, it was exciting. I took my time exploring coastal villages and spent a few hours in the busy city of Wollongong before ending for the night at Jervis Bay.

I took a cruise the next day to see the dolphins that Jervis Bay is famous for. The lovely white sand beaches made it hard to leave. Continuing my journey further south, I was able to buy some authentic craft items in Tilba Tilba.

Mimosa Rocks National Park was gorgeous, I even got a chance to swim in the lagoon. I drove a little further to watch surfers at Tathra Beach. That evening I stayed in the classy village of Metung and had a tremendous seafood platter in one of the lakeside restaurants.

Wilsons Promontory National Park is home to extraordinary scenery and an abundance of wildlife such as kangaroos, koalas and wombats. The place is filled with activities to keep you busy, I spent an entire day hiking through forests, exploring beaches and climbing on granite mountains.

Next destination was Fish Creek, a tiny, quirky and thriving town with arts and crafts, books and cafes. I took the bridge over to Phillip Island, a popular family stop. At Nobbies Centre you can watch the penquins strutting up and down the beach and see one of Australia’s largest fur seal settlements.

I ended my trip in Melbourne making my last stop at the working heritage farm on Churchill Island. Renting a car gave me the flexibility and convenience during my trip from Sydney to Melbourne. Next time I may get a car rental in Melbourne and do this trip the other direction!

Hayling Island - Seeing What Is at that Place

You have to love the wonderful smells and sights of Hayling Island and here are a spot of manners in which you might enjoy them too. You could either walk or cycle.

Enjoy a variety of walks with the Hayling Island group taking in the exquisite sea views.

This isn’t a sort of group to challenge the experienced or super fit walkers - it is more of a beginner class

The longer walk enables those who enjoy a slightly faster paced promenade to enjoy the Hayling coastline whilst socialising with allies.

Share a morning promenade with allies taking in the clear sea air and ever changing environment, returning for refreshments.
This is mainly a flat route. There are two short hills at the Rowlands Castle end of the route. The majority of the route is on cycle path, but 3 short sections are on road:
1. from The Recreation Ground, The Fairway, Rowlands Castle to the bottom of the hill in Durrants Road
2. the section of road between Langstone Road and Langstone Bridge on to Hayling Island. The pavements on both sides of Langstone Bridge (only) are cycle paths.
3. the southern loop of Staunton Ave, Sea Front and Sinah Lane.

The Hayling Billy Coastal Way is formed from impacted scalpings, with a top dressing, there is some tarmac and a bit of concrete and it might be a little lumpy in places. Most road bikes will cope but mountain bikes are better suited ” I biked the route on a mountain bike with slick road tyres and I was All Right. There are spots where a spot of would favour to walk but these places are few and far between and very short ” bearing in mind I wheeled the route the day following torrential downpours which pulled leaves off trees etc. a few puddles about but on the whole it was pretty well drained.

If you want to know about a wonderful place to stay on Hayling Island then you should consider Cockle Warren. If you want to go to a great Hayling Island bed and breakfast then you should look at this hotel

If I Ruled the World

If I ruled the World, I think that it would be a much better place. I would make a logo for the world. It would be “Be Excellent to Each other.” Based on the ethics of the great leaders Bill and Ted. World peace would be demanded. If you decided to not be Nice you would pay the penalty. We would give you the silent treatment. You think its no fun when your friend gives you the silent treatment? Then you would really hate the whole world not speaking to you. This means not trading or having anything to do with you. The bad country will have plenty of time to think about the things they have done. If there were countries that needed food or medicine. They could have it. There are more than enough resources on this planet to feed everybody. We could get rid of having to all countries have stuff that they can contribute. If they need food, we could have some farmers go over there and show them how to plant crops and irrigate. After a while they will be on their own. Fighting would not be allowed and will be dealt with swiftly and harshly. Going places would not really require a passport. You just need to be a earthling. Traveling around the planet will be common. With everybody being nice to each other, we would just change houses with people in other countries if we wanted a break. The whole world would be one big huge free timeshare. We could always be on vacation, and just work when we needed stuff. Go back to the times when things were simpler, and you worked you land and did your share. You can do anything that you want. Just as long as you are being nice and helping out.
